On our surfing days, you will get one coached lesson and one guided free surf session, so you can straight away put into practice what you have learned.
COACHED LESSONS
In your coached lessons you will work in very small groups of 2-3 sisters on your individual goals to improve your surf on a technical level.
GUIDED FREE SURF
The second guided free surf session is perfect to straight put into practice what you have learned in your coached lesson. It’s all about repetition and developing the muscle memory.

We will have videographers on every surf session to make sure that we have you on camera daily.
Video analysis is a fantastic coaching tool. It enables us to show you exactly what you look like and what you need to do. It brings in line what you think you are doing, with what you are actually doing.

In this edition we will have the immense honor to work together with Cesar. Mexican National Surf Coach, that has taken the young generations of grooms to the Olympics!
We will combine our unique approach with his experience to deliver a progress in your surf journey that only few programs out there offer.

Our way of teaching surf theory is very practical. No 83 pages boring ppt presentation to squeeze into your brains.
Let’s jump into the pool together and work on our paddle technique, duck diving, turtle rolling, and board agility.
Or let’s grab the whiteboard and talk about some specific maneuvers.
You decide, this is your space to ask and discuss all the questions you have.

We care about how you feel in- and outside the water.
The emotional surf coaching focuses on both, the technical and psycho-emotional aspects of surfing.
Many of us are scared of the water, the waves, the people. Has frustration become the new normal on your surf journey? Let us tell you – this is a normal part of surfing. You are not alone.
We will show you tools how to deal better with your emotions or even overcome them, to feel more confident in the water.

Build confidence in the water with the power of breathwork.
Apnea is a very powerful tool to control stress underwater. We can learn to feel more secure and trust in our body and mind. Understanding our resistance and respecting our limits.
We will teach you some fundamentals techniques that will help you control your breath better.

These very effective mobility movements activate those muscles that we use for the three foundational movements of surfing: extension, compression and rotation.

Nothing better than a little ice bath session after a lot of surfing to recover faster, reduce muscle soreness and inflammation, improve blood circulation and boost your immune system.

Oaxaca de Juarez is known for its colorful streets, its culture, its tasty food, artisans and of course its strong mezcal! This world heritage city has a lot to offer.
We will spend one full day wandering around this marvelous city, getting to know the culture and colors of one of the friendliest cities in Mexico.

Sometimes we forget that when we surf, we share the ocean with a lot of incredibly smart animals.
We will get to know them a little bit better. Because every surf trip also needs some days where you don’t think about surf and you go visit the wonders of the country that is hosting you.
We will have one full day trip to Huatulco, visit the city and embark on a catamaran guided by local marine biologists.
We will sail for 4h on the search of the greatest of all mammals – THE WHALES.
Queens of the oceans, these animals are smart, intelligent, curious and friendly.
*Important note: the boat is equipped with underwater microphones to hear the whales singing to each other!!!

Everyday is gonna feel like a surf safari when you cruise around on the hunt for the perfect wave of the day on your 4×4.

We all have a different approach in learning new skills. This is what we want to tackle with our unique Surf Mentoring.
We combine different methods like surf lessons/free-surf guiding, mental coaching, video analysis, emotional surf coaching, surf-oriented yoga, theory and emotional workshops to squeeze the best out of your surf experience. -
We believe that a proper surf coaching doesn’t start or end with the time you spend on location during your vacation.
That is why we will be on your side before, during and after your stay.
After you saved your spot, our surf coach Cami will schedule a 30min call with you to get to know eachother, evaluate your surf level and give you the first exercises to practice at home in preparation for your trip.

This is not an average surf camp. It’s like taking private lessons in a group of like-minded sisters, that you can share your experience and exchange knowledge with.
Usually we have to decide if we pay a lot of money for private coaching or go for group lessons, where our individual needs get lost most of the times.

Our surf coaches are specialized on emotional surf coaching. A unique method that tackles both, the technical and psycho-emotional aspects of surfing.
Surf is such a mental sport. There is a wide range of emotions that can interfere with how we perform and feel in the water.
Learning about them, how to cope and what tools work for you is key to a healthy relationship with the sport.
We will create different spaces to talk about those emotions, learn from them and deal when they come to visit us!

Advanced beginners / Intermediates
This mentoring program is specially tailored for experienced beginners to intermediate surf sisters.
If you feel comfortable paddling out by yourself and catching green waves – this trip is for you!

THE SURF
Oaxaca region is known for its endless right handed iconic point breaks. Kilometers and kilometers of beaches where the perfect wave is waiting for you. We will explore the coast by 4x4, in search of the perfect conditions guided by local legends, in and out of the water.
We will adapt the surf spot according to your level and the level of the group. If you have any doubt about your level cut, give us a call and we will orientate you to find out if this trip is the right one for you sister!
Some spots that we might visit:

An iconic spot with a sandy bottom and consistent waves, ideal for intermediate to advanced surfers.
Its long right-handers are perfect for maneuvers. The natural surroundings add a special touch to the experience.
Occasionally, there are left-handers on the inside, though this is very rare.

With a sandy bottom, it's known for its powerful and fast waves. It offers right-handers with tubular sections, making it a popular destination for experienced surfers looking to challenge themselves and improve their skills.
On days with strong north winds, we would move up to Bamba Beach or San Diego Beach to find better surfing conditions.

It's the perfect spot for surfers of all levels, especially on days with north winds, when conditions are optimal.
The natural beauty and tranquility make Bamba Beach a special destination.

SALINA CRUZ SURF CAMP is located in Oaxaca Mexico.
It’s an adventure surfing outpost located next to the world's best right-hand sand point breaks.
Your surf house, also known as "Casa El Mirador" was established in 1999 as the area’s first surf camp and is still 100% locally owned and operated.
Located on one of the highest hills in Salina, the camp provides a 360-degree view of the area’s waves, city and mountains.
With proven local knowledge & top-level guides you can expect some of the best surf, food and culture experiences that Mexico has to offer.

FAQs

EU, UK, USA, CANADA, NORWAY citizens, do not need a visa to travel to Mexico.
You will simply get a stamp on your passport upon arrival. Please make sure your Passport is valid for at least 6 months after the departure date.
Visitors can stay up to 180 days in the country without the need for a special permit.
If you are traveling through the USA on your way to Mexico, make sure you check on the Transit Visa requirements for your passport.For all other nationalities, please consult your local Mexican embassy to find out whether or not you need a visa to enter.

To enter Mexico, your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay.
The Mexican Embassy in the UK recommends passports be valid for at least 180 days because this is the longest you can stay in Mexico as a tourist.
If you’re traveling through another country on your way to or from Mexico, check the entry requirements for that country. Many countries will only allow entry if you have at least 6 months validity remaining on your passport.

Oaxaca and Salina Cruz are generally considered as safe areas for tourists.
The historic center, in particular, is well-policed and frequented by international visitors.
Over the day you can move absolutely free in you neighborhood. By night we will always travel in groups and be accompanied by our local guides.

There are no Vaccination requirements to enter the state of Mexico.
Please consult your family doctor for more information and to take the proper decisions regarding your vaccination plan before traveling.

Since sunscreen is quite expensive in Mexico, it can often be cheaper to bring one from home.

Spanish is the official language spoken in Mexico, although there are dozens of Indigenous regional languages spoken in Oaxaca
Mexicans, due to their connection to the States are usually fluent in English. -
The water in the pacific coast of Mexico has a very consistent nice warm temperature all year round. Average of 25oC to 29oC

The currency in Mexico is the Mexican Peso (currency code MXN) and it has an official exchange rate to the euro: 1 Euro = 0.046MXN

Mexico has a public healthcare system, the Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS), which provides medical services to citizens and permanent residents. The services offered by IMSS are free of charge for its beneficiaries.
For temporary residents and tourists, private healthcare is available in Mexico. There are many private hospitals and clinics that offer high-quality medical services. It is important to note that private healthcare in Mexico can be expensive, in all our mentoring trips, travel insurance proof is mandatory, as well as an emergency contact ;)

We require every participant to be in possession of a travel health insurance that covers extreme sports, specified surfing and skate boarding.
This is not an option sister, after many years of traveling ourselves, we found out the hard way that a good insurance is always good to have ;)
We recommend you to check Europe Assistance, but you can check with your local institute what sports covered insurance can suit you best ;)

There are no COVID-19 testing or vaccination requirements for travelers entering Mexico.
