Meet us at the 'OCEAN SISTERS VILLA'
We are beyond excited to share this magical place with you girls for the very first time! Our goal was to curate a long-term, intimate touchpoint for our community to share, exchange and connect with other sisters from all over the world.
Et voilà, here we are.
The Villa
Protected from the crowded and hectic center of tourism, you will find our little paradise next to the magical eucalyptus and pine forest of Ferrel, Peniche. Just 5 min. walk to your private skate bowl and 5 min. drive to the sandy beach breaks, with perfect surf conditions for all levels.

The heart of the Villa is our private big outdoor common area. Surrounded by all the rooms, it creates this very intimate, cozy atmosphere where you immediately feel protected from the rest of the world. Just like in your own family house, where you can be the purest version of yourself and no one is gonna judge.
The Villa is just the perfect safe space for you to recover and relax after a whole day of surf & skate with your sisters.

We have 6 rooms in total:
3 individual suites, 1 twin bedroom, 1 triple suite and 1 attic quadruple suite.
Each room has a private bathroom and is designed in different colors that remind us of the nature elements.
We will allocate you according to your petition and availability.*

Yummy food, happy hearts. Nothing beats fresh, Italian homemade food after a fun surf session with your sisters! Lucky us that we will have the honor to enjoy this every day by our dear private chef Andrea.
He uses local and seasonal products, working together with small producers to ensure the highest quality possible. Whatever food preference you might have, he will personally take care of it. His kitchen is full of flavours, colors and made with amore.

We care about how you feel in- and outside the water.
The emotional surf coaching focuses on both, the technical and psycho-emotional aspects of surfing. Many of us are scared of the water, the waves, the people, getting hurt – this is a normal part of surfing. You are not alone.

We all have a different approach in learning new skills. This is what we want to tackle with our unique way of mentoring.
We combine different methods like surf lessons/free-surf guiding, mental coaching, video analysis, emotional surf coaching, surf skating, surf-oriented yoga, theory and emotional workshops, to squeeze the most out of your surf experience.

We will be filming at least one session per day to make sure that we have you on camera sister.
Also, you will have access to all footage after for you to download.

We are not a travel agency – we are A REAL COMMUNITY with touchpoints in Portugal, Spain and Germany!
All the rad sisters that you will meet, might live already around your corner – we are happy to connect the dots.

A big part of our mentorings is about reconnecting to yourself.
This is nothing that happens from one day to the other. Sometimes we have to face our biggest fears for that. Sometimes we just have to feel safe and supported.
Whatever you need, we are there for you!

To say it in Kelly Slater’s words: ‘Ocean Sisters is like the mafia, once you are in, you never go out’ ;-)
Stay connected before, during and after the trips with us and your sisters. We have created a big network of several Whatsapp groups for you to join, ask questions and exchange.

We believe that the only way to really improve your surf, is to adapt the teaching method to your personal needs and level – not the other way around.
We all have a different approach in learning new skills. This is what we want to tackle with our unique Surf Mentoring.
We combine different methods like surf lessons/free-surf guiding, mental coaching, video analysis, emotional surf coaching, surf skating, surf-oriented yoga, theory and emotional workshops to squeeze the best out of your surf experience. -
We believe that a proper surf coaching doesn’t start or end with the time you spend on location during your vacation.
That is why we will be by your side before, during and after your mentoring.
After you saved your spot, our surf coach Cami will schedule a 30min call with you to get to know eachother, evaluate your surf level and give you the first exercises to practice at home in preparation for your trip.

This is not an average surf camp. It’s like taking private lessons in a group of like-minded sisters, that you can share your experience and exchange knowledge with.
Usually we have to decide if we pay a lot of money for private coaching or go for group lessons, where our individual needs get lost most of the times.
We don’t want to make compromises anymore.

Our surf coaches are specialized on emotinal surf coaching.
A unique method that tackles both, the technical and psycho-emotional aspects of surfing.
We will create space in an emotional workshop for us to talk about our fears and traumas and teach you tools, how to deal with them better or even overcome them.
We care how you feel in- and outside the water!

According to your individual teaching method, we will adapt to your personal needs. No matter if you are an experienced surfer girl or a total beginner, together we will squeeze the most out of your surf experience.

You are not sure where you are right now in your surf journey? What the next steps are or if you are “good enough” to join this trip? No worries sister, we feel you!
Shoot Cami, our head coach a short message on WhatsApp. She is more than happy to evaluate your surf level together with you and answer all the questions you have about your surf journey.

8 days/7 nights in your private Ocean Sisters Villa.
All the rooms have private bathrooms and no bunk beds, just single or double.
You can choose between:
3 queen individual suites with garden view (130€/extra for the whole stay)
1 two people twin suite with garden view (90€/extra for the whole stay)
1 triple suite (no extra)
1 attic quadruple suite (no extra)
We will allocate you according to your petition and availability.

Apnea is a very powerful tool to control stress underwater. We can learn to feel more secure and trust in our body and mind. Understanding our resistance and respecting our limits.

Thanks to its unique geography, Peniche is one of the best places for learning how to surf in Europe. From small mellow waves to fast and tube riding breaks. Their sandy bottom beaches are ideal to learn and progress without the fear of “what's underneath?” Let us tell you – SAND!
Baleal is one of the surf towns you can find in Portugal, with a great international community, Baleal has something magic that makes you want to come back!

Yes, please! Even though all material is included, we always recommend practicing on your own board.

The water temperature goes from 13°C to 20°C. It's chilly, let's say. Anyways, this basically depends on the ocean currents that can change without asking permission, bringing colder or warmer waters to the coast line. But as a rule, with a 4/3 wetsuit you should be alright.

Oceanic weather is known for its changing nature. You can have 4 seasons in one day, so come prepared. During summer/autumn months you can have temperatures that go from 15°C to 25°C.

As we said, Portugal with its Ocean climate, can be pretty unpredictable. So we are making a small list of things you don't want to forget.
Beach essentials:
Flip flops, bikinis, beach towel, suncream +50 and a reusable water bottle.
Skate essentials:
Comfortable shoes for skating, comfortable pants and your best attitude! ;)
Yoga essentials:
Comfortable pants and sports clothes.
Be prepared:
We won't get tired of repeating the same. The weather is changing a lot. You can be in shorts and t-shirt in the morning and out of the sudden you will need to put a wind jacket on...
So: A wind jacket, shorts, t-shirts, some jeans and whatever you feel like wearing. We are not going fancy, it is gonna be a very casual week with your sisters. Still, if you fancy to go out one day, come prepare to dance!

Within 2.5km from the Villa, you find Ferrel. This is the town that gives support to the Baleal Beach area. A very small local town that offers simple solutions for what you might need. Small supermarkets, few restaurants and cafes, a couple of pharmacies, we will drive through Ferrel every day to go surfing. If you forgot your toothbrush, we have you covered ;)

I never thought I’d say going on a surf trip would be a life changing experience, but the camp with Ocean Sisters proved me wrong. Of course the surfing and skating was awesome, so was the hotel and food. But really, the emotional focus, the community, the women - that is what made it so special. It was a week of raw emotions, of laughter, of sisterhood and I’m so so grateful. Thank you Julia, Cami and Estelle (and the girls)
